Home Visitation & Resident Absence Update

On April 11, 2022, the provincial government released revised guidelines regarding family/ personal caregiver visits to, and resident absences from, long-term care facilities in Ontario.

At Primacare Living, we recognize and value the role that families, friends and visitors have in providing caregiving and emotional support. This support is vital to meeting the needs and enriching the lives of our residents.

In response to the release of these new guidelines, Primacare is happy to welcome visitors to our care communities that meet the new provincial protocols for safe visits to long-term care homes. You'll find more information on the new visitation protocols here.

Visitors/Essential caregivers wanting to book a visit with a resident in any of our care communities should use our online booking portalor contact the team at the care community directly.

Also, residents who leave the care community for medical or compassionate absences will need to follow the new provincial protocols for safe absences from long-term care homes. You'll find more information on the new resident absences protocols here.

Our sincerest appreciation for your support and partnership as we unite together in the ongoing fight against COVID-19.
